Celebrate Each other in Love
In these changing times we are looking around and we are reevaluating our base beliefs and practices. It can be a scary feeling of not knowing where you stand on issues.
I just finished a book called The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah. Just riveting. The personal strength people never know they possess and the events leading to self discovery is beautiful. This book lays it out in beautiful detail. It recalls Jewish persecution by Germans and a country trying to regain its lost identity.
I understand the Holocaust is different in events from the Black lives matter movement. It’s time to consider the similarities. When we can take a good hard look at this we can see a more deeply rooted issue.
As a nurse, I have treated countless individuals. I have laughed and I have cried with them. I have also cared for prisoners and I have internally struggled on whether or not to know their background circumstances. I understand too that no matter what someone has done in their life or who they have loved or hated, my position is simply clear. I am here to show love (that is the same love that I would show to someone in a position of greater affluence-though some administrators disagree). It’s obvious that there are many variables to circumstances but odly enough we can simplify. We as humans have a wonderful ability to complicate the simplest of thoughts.
Love is the basis for all life. We carry it with us and we choose to show it or bury it. When we choose to show it amazing light shows through. It is the light of truth and justice.
We are granted with an exciting opportunity. We can write the future path for generations to come. We Can Be The Change. We can show love and we can show our perspective on love. None of us are the same. We come from significantly different backgrounds. That is the beauty! Educate from your experience! It is unique. Celebrate diversity and celebrate one another.
Celebrate love.
Optimized!
